About these terms
These terms apply to work carried out by J Wigmore Roofing Ltd, 10 Boxalls Lane, Aldershot, Hants GU11 3QJ. Any specific terms in your written quote take priority.
Inspections and quotes
Inspections and estimates are free. All work is carried out on a fixed quoted price; I don't work on a day rate. Roof reports are a chargeable service and the fee is agreed before the report is carried out.
Changes to the work
If additional work is discovered or requested once the job has started, I'll explain it and agree any change to the price with you before carrying it out.
Scheduling
Start dates are agreed in advance. Roofing is weather-dependent, and dates may need to move for safety or quality reasons; I'll keep you informed.
Payment
Payment is by BACS bank transfer (preferred), cash or cheque. Card payments are not accepted. Payment terms will be set out on your quote or invoice.
Guarantees
Company guarantees are given on renewals only: 10 years on tiled roof renewals, 5 years on uPVC fascias and soffits, and 20 years on EPDM flat roof systems. These are company guarantees and are not insurance-backed. Repairs are not guaranteed.
Insurance
I hold £1 million public liability insurance.
Emergency work
I don't provide a 24-hour or out-of-hours emergency call-out service. Leaks and storm damage can be reported during normal working hours.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
